10 years ago, you would have laughed if someone told you that you could make a living making YouTube videos. The now massive platform is allowing video creators to make money doing something they love to do. The creator who made this possible for the future of up and coming YouTubers. Casey Neistat, the king of vlogging, started posting videos to YouTube consistently in 2013, and his popularity started to grow. 

Neistat, formerly a video producer for HBO, joined the YouTube scene because he saw the possibilities it could produce. In 2015, he started what is now known as daily vlogging. Neistat started posting a video every single day showing what he did on a daily basis. This included what he was doing in his work and in his free time, which turned out to be very entertaining and comical, grew his audience exponentially. What drew most people to him was his drive and his determination he showed on a daily basis. What Neistat through his daily vlogs was he opened a whole new space for creators, and when you look at how many people are following Neistat’s style, the number is off the charts.
