How Tiger Woods has Revolutionized a Game Once Lost

Image result for tiger woods   Tiger Woods is the face of golf. Put bluntly, but basically true if you just take a look at what he has done for the game of golf over the past twenty years. This meant when nobody saw him on the golf course for almost two years, fans wondered what they would do if he never competed again. But last year he made his return from an injury, fully healthy and ready to go. When he won the last tournament of 2018, full Tiger mania was back and better than ever. When I say Tiger Woods is doing the job of public relations professionals in the game of golf, you might think I’m crazy, but you when you see what Tiger’s comeback has done not only the game of golf, but everything surrounding it, you’ll see what I’m talking about. “When Woods is playing, he and his sponsors get much more time on camera than other competitors. Through the Arnold Palmer Invitational (March 12-18, 2018), Woods had seen more branding time on screen than any other golfer on the PGA Tour, with 583 minutes of branding exposure, equaling 122%, or 320 minutes, more time on screen than the average for the top 10 golfers by brand exposure duration. This comes despite Woods competing in fewer events than many of the top players in on the PGA Tour.

For each event Woods has appeared in, he averages about 97 minutes of total brand exposure duration, 83%, or 44 minutes, more coverage than the next closest golfer for branding time on screen, Dustin Johnson” Tiger boosts ticket sales, brand revenue, and TV ratings every time he steps on the golf course, which is something no other golfer on the face of the earth can and ever will be able to do. Last year when he made his comeback, regular viewers would tune into the tournaments he was playing in, just to see Tiger. Television viewers are taking notice when Woods was playing in 2018. For the four events this season that Woods has finished inside the top 25, broadcast network viewership is up 93% versus the same events last year, or about 2 million more viewers on average”. Tiger Woods has done so much for the game of golf, and he rightfully gets the attention he is receiving.
